Iceland - a country of unforgettable travels

Iceland is a country in the North Atlantic, and it is an island nation. It has an area of 103,000 square kilometers and a population of 334,000 people. Iceland won't be on everyone's bucket list for sure but it should be. The country offers unforgettable experiences for every traveler who goes there. You can check out some of its natural wonders here:

The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa that was formed in 1976. It's located in Grindavik, about an hour's drive from Reykjavik. The water at the Blue Lagoon is heated by natural hot springs and has many health benefits including improving skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis. The minerals found in this water also help to heal wounds faster than normal water would do so, making it popular with people who suffer from these conditions.

Glacier hikes

Iceland is home to many glaciers, and hiking on them is a great way to experience them up close. There are several glacier walks in Iceland that you can choose from, depending on the length and difficulty of your hike. If you're looking for something short, but still exciting and challenging enough for more experienced hikers (and those seeking new challenges), try out the Vatnajokull National Park's Skaftafell area which offers a number of hikes ranging from 2-4 hours long. If you want something more challenging though (and maybe even longer), there's also Snaefellsjokull National Park where there are many longer trails available as well as shorter ones if time isn't an issue for your group!

Fjords and waterfalls

Like many other countries, Iceland's landscape is home to some amazing natural features. The country has over 200 waterfalls, including Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss - both of which are known as "the rainbows". They are beautiful and worth seeing if you're visiting Iceland during summertime (June-August). The fjords in Iceland were carved by glaciers during the last Ice Age. They were once deep lakes before the glacier retreated about 10,000 years ago; now they're narrow channels that extend inland from the coastlines into mountainsides or hillsides. There are many fjords in Iceland but one of them is most famous: Thingvellir National Park where you can see two continental plates rubbing against each other!

Geysers and hot springs

Geysers
are hot springs that break water and steam. They're found in Iceland, New Zealand, the Philippines and Japan. Geysers form when water gets trapped underground and builds pressure until it finally shoots up to the surface in a spectacular display of steamy action! Geysers are one of the rarest types of hot springs, so they're very special. They're also a lot of fun to explore and play in!

Black sand beaches

The black sand beaches of Iceland are formed from lava flows, which have been exposed to the elements for thousands of years. The black sand is made up of basalt and can be found along the south and west coasts of Iceland. These beaches are popular with visitors who want to go for a walk or picnic on them, as well as take photos that show off their unique coloration.

Northern Lights and the aurora borealis

The Northern Lights are one of the most beautiful phenomena in nature. They are also known as aurora borealis, and they occur when solar winds interact with Earth's magnetic field. The result is a spectacular array of colors that dance across the sky in patterns that seem to be alive.

Northern Lights myths

There are many misconceptions about what causes the Northern Lights, so it's best to get them out of the way before we begin our exploration of Iceland's northern lights experiences:

1) You don't need an expensive camera or lens to capture these lights;

2) You don't need any special equipment at all;

3) You won't see them if it's cloudy outside (sorry);

4) The best time for viewing is between October and April (though they can appear at other times too).

Iceland is a heavenly place! It has many attractions, like the Blue Lagoon and Northern Lights. It also has many beautiful places to see, such as its volcanic landscape. In addition to these things, Iceland is an ideal destination for people who love hiking and swimming. Iceland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The breathtaking views, friendly people and amazing experiences make this place a must-visit destination for all travelers.
